Sajjan’s Life Sentence Is a Political Punishment Directed to Kill Congress-Rahul Gandhi Politically: SFJ
The secessionist group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has declared that the life sentence given to Sajjan Kumar is a calculated political punishment orchestrated by the BJP-Modi government as part of a larger strategy to eliminate Rahul Gandhi as the leader of Congress.
BJP Using Sikh Genocide Against Congress to Kill Rahul Gandhi Politically:
“Rahul Gandhi is seen as more acceptable to the Western world as India’s leader. By sentencing Sajjan Kumar to life, the BJP-Modi government is weaponizing Sikhs against Congress, creating a political rift designed to weaken Rahul Gandhi’s leadership and image globally,” SFJ stated.
Selective Punishment Exposes Modi Government’s Hypocrisy
The Modi government is selectively punishing Congress leaders for the 1984 Sikh Genocide while shielding and absolving BJP-RSS figures who were equally responsible. In 1984, not only Congress workers but also RSS and Jan Sangh death squads actively led the genocide of Sikhs. Yet, in 1999, the Vajpayee-led BJP government withdrew cases against over 200 RSS-BJP operatives involved in the genocide, exposing the hypocrisy and political agenda behind Modi’s actions today.
The life sentence to Sajjan is not about justice for Sikhs—it is about Modi’s political war against Congress. By reviving cases against select Congress figures while protecting BJP-RSS members who orchestrated the same crimes, Modi is using the Sikh Genocide as a tool for political gain.
Reiterating that true justice for Sikhs is Khalistan, SFJ General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun stated:
“The 1984 Sikh Genocide was carried out by the Indian state under Rajiv Gandhi’s government, just like the economic destruction—‘Econocide’—of Punjab is now being executed under Modi’s rule. Sikhs must recognize that this is not about delivering justice, but about manipulating history to serve BJP’s political agenda.”
